The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-91 NB & SB in Wallingford, beginning Monday, July 22, 2019.
This project consists of concrete repairs on I-91 NB & SB, Bridge #03129 (East Center St. underpass) in Wallingford. This work is scheduled to occur the evening of Monday, July 22, 2019 to the morning of Friday, August 16, 2019.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2019 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Hammonasset Construction.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect various lane closures on I-91 NB & SB between Exit 14 (Route 150/Woodhouse Ave.) and Exit 15 (Route 68) in Wallingford. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Monday through Thursday evenings).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
