Your input is important to me as your State Representative. During this part of the legislative session there are many public hearings regarding proposed bills, along with the ongoing state budget debate.
Just yesterday, the nonpartisan Office of Fiscal Analysis announced that our state budget numbers are much worse than initially predicted. I have been consistent in calling for structural changes in government spending to address our State's financial crisis. I urge you all to read the following story: CT finances take another big hit as projected revenues plunge. I hope that you will consider testifying so that your voice may be heard.

I encourage you to check http://www.cga.ct.gov/ and click on the “Bulletin” to track what items you might be interested in. If you do decide to write a letter in support of or opposition to a proposed bill, please copy my office on your testimony and I will be sure to reference the tremendous support during my time before the committee. Please copy me at: Vincent.Candelora@housegop.ct.gov. If you are unable to testify in person, please note that you may send in electronic testimony.
I want to alert you to a few public hearings in the upcoming weeks.
Here are some bills scheduled for public hearings that I either introduced or co-sponsored as well as those which may be of interest to you and our community.
