Wrong Way Detection Installation on Route 7 Southbound in Danbury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing wrong way driver detection installation will take place on Route 7 southbound at Exit 8 (Park Ave. Exit) in Danbury. This project is scheduled to occur on Thursday, March 14 and be completed on Friday, March 15, 2024.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Exit 8 of Route 7 Southbound in Danbury. Traffic will be detoured Backus Avenue to Sugar Hollow Road, left onto Wooster Heights Road, left onto the Exit 7 on-ramp northbound.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday through Friday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
