State Representative Patrick Callahan proudly serves the 108th General Assembly District communities of New Fairfield, Sherman, New Milford and Danbury. Rep. Callahan was first elected in November of 2020. He serves as a Ranking Member on the Environment Committee, and as a member of the Appropriations and the Judiciary Committees.

Rep. Callahan has lived in New Fairfield for over 25 years, and has been highly engaged in the community. Prior to being elected as State Representative, he served on the Candlewood Lake Authority for 13 years, and was Chairman for 10 years. He has also served on the Ethics Committee and the Planning Commission in New Fairfield. Pat also volunteered in New Fairfield as a coach for youth lacrosse and football.

Rep. Callahan worked in the criminal justice field for almost 27 years as an Adult Probation Officer for 10 years and a Chief Probation Officer for 17 years. He has been assigned to the Danbury Superior Court for the majority of his career, working with offenders to reduce recidivism and produce successful outcomes for the individuals sentenced to Probation. He received the Liberty Bell Award from the Danbury Bar Association in 2018 for outstanding work with Danbury Courts and for exemplary service to the community.

Rep. Callahan married a New Fairfield native, Andrea, and the two have been married for 26 years. They have 3 children, Tommy, Clare and Liam, along with a dog, Indie, and a rescue cat, Millie.
