The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing a wrong way detection installation will take place on I-84 westbound at Exit 5 in Danbury. This project is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, March 26 with a rain date of Thursday, March 28, 2024.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Exit 5 of I-84 west in Danbury. Traffic will be detoured for ramp closure to Exit 4 westbound off-ramp, left onto Lake Avenue, left on Exit 4 on-ramp back onto I-84 eastbound. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday through Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.

Exit 4 Westbound
Exit 2 westbound off-ramp, right onto Milestones Road, right onto Mill Plain.
Exit 4 Eastbound
Exit 5 off-ramp eastbound, left onto Main Street, left onto Exit 5 on-ramp for I-84 westbound. Take Exit 4 off-ramp.
