In an effort to keep you informed and maintain transparency in state government, I want to share a new state resource with you.
The Office of the State Comptroller has launched a new website called ‘Open Connecticut’. The website aims to provide residents with centralized state financial data and simplify access to important information about the state budget and its financial future.

You have every right to know where and how your taxpayer money is being spent, and how the state economy may be affected by perpetual borrowing and colossal shortfalls.
The user-friendly platform answers common questions such as, What’s in the state budget? How much do we spend on a program or vendor? What caused our budget deficit?
As a member of the Appropriations Committee, which has cognizance of all matters relating to state appropriations and the budgets of state agencies, I am eager to keep you informed on state financial data.
