    Friends and Neighbors,

    I wanted to let you know that the Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) has announced that there will be a series of public hearings around the state regarding DOT’s proposed bus and rail fare increases. For rail services, the proposed increase would take effect December 1, 2016, on the New Haven commuter rail line, including the Danbury Branch, and Shore Line East. For bus services, the proposed increase would take effect on December 4, 2016, for CTtransit and CTfastrak buses.

    The comment period closes September 15, 2016.  The public hearing locations and times are as follows:
