NEWTOWN- State Rep. Mitch Bolinsky (R-106) along with the Connecticut Department of Transportation today announced that a utility project will be performed on Route 25 Southbound in Newtown on Monday, June 17, 2013.
The utility project consists of the installation of a water main and then milling and resurfacing a one mile segment of Route 25 Southbound in Newtown.
Local motorists should expect lane closures to occur on Route 25 Southbound between Cold Springs Road to the Monroe Town Line. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
