The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime milling and resurfacing will be performed on Route 25 in Newtown.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 3.90 mile segment of Route 25 in Newtown. This project is scheduled to occur from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015 to the morning of Monday, September 21, 2015.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2015 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 25 between SR 860 (Mile Hill Road) and the Monroe Town Line. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday-Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
