    Road Construction on I-84 in Newtown

    The Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) has announced the scheduled one-night closure of the Exit 9, I-84 eastbound ramps in Newtown on June 8. The ramps will be closed beginning at 10:00pm and will reopen at 5:00am the following morning. The closure and detour are necessary to facilitate safety improvement activities on I-84.

    Detour Information

    • Eastbound Exit 9 off-ramp: Take Exit 10 & follow the posted Route 25 detour
    • Eastbound Exit 9 on-ramp: Follow the posted Route 25 detour to Exit 10
