Earlier today on the steps of the State Capitol, I joined several of my colleagues and concerned citizens from across Connecticut to address Governor Lamont’s request for an extension of his emergency powers. The legislature will be in session to debate and vote on this request this coming Wednesday.
The time for these executive powers to end is now, we as a legislature are well capable of doing our jobs for the people who elected us to do so in our districts. A return to a co-equal branch of government with the appropriate checks and balances is past due and I will be voting NO to the governor’s request.
I encourage you to reach out to House and Senate Democrats and tell them enough is enough. With this very important vote in front of us on Wednesday, it is important that your voice is heard!
