    I wanted to pass along an update from the Connecticut Department of Transportation that highlights a planned guardrail repair that will begin on December 2nd in Barkhamsted. I will be sure to pass along any additional updates to you as they become available.

    CTDOT is announcing that Guiderail Repair will be performed on Service Road 482 in Barkhamsted starting on Monday, December 2, 2024.

     The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that Guiderail Repair will be performed on Service Road 482 in Barkhamsted. This project is scheduled to begin on Monday, December 2 and be completed on Friday, December 6, 2024. The project consists of guiderail repair.

    This project is being performed by State Forces.

    LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

    Service Road 482 (East River Road) will be closed starting Monday, December 2 through Friday, December 6, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Traffic will be detoured Route 318 to Route 181 to Route 20 for north bound traffic and Route 20 to Route 181 to Route 318 for southbound traffic. Traffic control signing patterns and detour signs will guide motorists through the work zone.

    Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
