Update on Vaccine Distribution
Clinics across our state have currently administered over 425,000 doses of the vaccine including roughly 340,000 first doses and over 80,000 second doses. Currently we are in “Phase 1b” of distribution with scheduling currently open for those 75 and older. Scheduling is available online or over the phone Connecticut’s Vaccine Appointment Assist Line 877-918-2224 is available seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Due to high volume, hold times may vary. 211 Connecticut also has a directory to find clinics across the region.

Distribution Across Connecticut
Dining Curfew Extended to 11:00 p.m.
Earlier this week, the Governor announced that the 10:00 p.m. curfew for patrons to leave restaurants will be extended to 11:00 p.m. Effective February 2, the following business sectors will be subject to a 11:00 p.m. closing time 7 days per week:
- Restaurants (last service for in-person dining at 10:30 p.m., although takeout and delivery may continue)
- 24-hour diners may reopen for indoor dining for breakfast at 5:00 a.m.
- Entertainment and recreation venues (e.g. movie theaters, bowling alleys, performing arts theaters)
- Indoor and outdoor events at commercial venues
Equity Match Grant Program for Women-Owned or Minority-Owned Businesses
The Women’s Business Development Council and the state Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) launched a new COVID-19 relief program for women-owned businesses / or minority-owned businesses in CT. The Equity Match Grant Program is designed to help businesses pivot, expand or restructure during the pandemic and beyond.
The application period is open now (Feb. 1), and continues through February 15th. Grants will range between $2,500 and $10,000 for clearly defined projects that will have a measurable impact on business. Applicants will be required to match 25% of the grant funding with their money. A recipient of a $10,000 grant must have invested, as a match, $2,500 in their business over the past 12 months or be able to invest an incremental $2,500 of their own funds in that purchase.
The state continues to maintain a one-stop business resource portal with information on assistance and relief programs, as well as the latest workplace safety guidelines.
