GRANBY – For Read Across America week, State Rep. Mark Anderson (R-Granby) visited the Kelly Lane School in Granby. He was able to read a short book to a group of first grade students and took time to chat with them after the book was finished.
“I had a blast joining the first-grade students at Kelly Lane School in Granby for Read Across America Week! It was ‘Ambition Day,’ and the kids came dressed in costumes representing their future careers – from athletes to doctors to police officers, and so much more!” said Anderson.
Anderson had the privilege of reading Stick and Stone by Beth Ferry and Tom Lichtenheld to these enthusiastic young readers.
“It was such a joy to share the power of reading with them, and I can’t wait to visit again soon!” said Anderson.
