What a fantastic day it was at the State Capitol! I had the incredible opportunity to welcome a group of bright, enthusiastic fourth graders from Ann Antolini Elementary School to the House Chamber. Their visit was not only a pleasure but also a reminder of how important it is to engage the next generation in the workings of our state government.
We spent some time talking about how Connecticut laws are made, and I was truly impressed by the students’ curiosity. They came prepared with thoughtful questions and insightful comments that demonstrated a genuine interest in how our government functions. It’s not every day that you get to have such an engaging and inspiring conversation with young minds eager to learn about the legislative process!
I sincerely hope the students enjoyed the tour as much as I enjoyed spending time with them. Their enthusiasm and eagerness to understand more about our state’s history and government were contagious, and I can’t wait for future opportunities to meet with more students and help them explore the world of politics and lawmaking.
It was a day to remember, and I’m looking forward to seeing these young learners again in the future as they continue their educational journey!
