I will be co-hosting a legislative update in Hartland with State Senator Lisa Seminara on Tuesday, July 30, from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Hartland Town Hall (22 South Road). We will be providing an update on the newly enacted state laws and hold a discussion about your comments or questions on issues that are related to our state government. Details are in the flyer below.

    Camp Workcoeman Celebrates 100 Years…

It was my distinct honor to present a citation from the General Assembly in recognition of the 100th Anniversary of Camp Workcoeman in New Hartford this past weekend. The citation was also introduced by Senator Lisa Seminara and State Representative Karen Reddington-Hughes. Former State Representative David T. Wilson, a past camper, was in attendance along with many others from past decades. The camp is among the oldest continuously operating Scout camps where thousands of campers have had unforgettable summers filled with tradition. I have a firsthand appreciation of the value of Scouting and Scout Camps as a former Scoutmaster, and the father of two Scouts, one of whom made Eagle. We congratulate Camp Workcoeman and those who have made it possible and wish them many more years.

    Supportive Business Voting Record…

The Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) has released its 2024 voting records for the state House and Senate. As a result of my action on legislation that impacts the business community, I earned a 100% voting record score – helping fight off costly mandates and securing more resources for our state’s working families. I appreciate the business entities that make our neck of the woods a great place to work and live!

Good principles lead to good gun policy

The June Drummer ran an opinion piece by Michael Fitzgerald questioning my legislative agenda, specifically HB 5717. Fitzgerald cited the Sandy Hook tragedy that led to Connecticut’s restrictive gun laws, and the recent Granby budget that funds a School Resource Officer (SRO). Of course, that a human being reached such a mental state that he murdered 20 […]
