Rep. Marra joins Congressman Himes for a Girls Scouts’ Civic Engagement Town Hall

Rep. Tracy Marra joined Congressman Himes and other state and local officials for a first-of-its-kind = Civic Engagement Town Hall with the Norwalk Girl Scouts. The event was held specifically during Women’s History Month on Thursday, March 16th at West Rocks Middle School in Norwalk.  Following the town hall the girls were eligible for the Girl Scouts Democracy Badge which has requirements that include learning about local, state and federal government.

CTDOT alerts riders that work will require substitute busing for all New Canaan Branch Line customers this summer

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is alerting riders that due to track improvements on the New Canaan Branch Line this summer, substitute bus service will replace all train service. This necessary work is part of the tie replacement and track upgrades program.

CT House and Senate Republicans Stand With Local Leaders In Call For Community-Driven Approach To Transit-Oriented Development Legislation 

Today, State Representative Tom O’Dea (R-125), State Rep. Tracy Marra (R-141), and State Senator Ryan Fazio (R-36) joined leadership from CT169STRONG and local zoning officials from across Connecticut to emphasize their priorities for proposed “Live, Work, Ride” legislation to build transit-oriented developments across Connecticut.
