On Wednesday, Representative Hoxha and the entire Bristol delegation had an opportunity to celebrate the oldest, continuously operating amusement park in North America, found right here in their own backyard. Opened in 1846, Lake Compounce Amusement Park is celebrating its 180th anniversary and the entire Bristol delegation and Representative Hoxha came together to present them with a legislative citation to commemorate their incredible achievement.

The Dept. of Transportation has awarded a $569,106 Community Connectivity Grant to the City of Bristol for Emmett Street sidewalk improvements. The project will consist of repairing and constructing approximately 1,500 feet of sidewalk along with other safety improvements designed to enhance ADA compliance.

"One of the main reasons Rep. Hoxha supporting the state budget was the additional funding Plymouth and Bristol will each receive," Rep. Hoxha said. "Bristol will receive an increase of $6,360,130 from FY2026 to FY2027 and Plymouth will receive an increase of $628,622 from FY2026 to FY2027."
