BRISTOL – Rep. Joe Hoxha, R-Bristol, joined the community in wishing Bristol Police Chief Brian Gould congratulations on his retirement, as well as thanking him for his service to the community over the course of 30 years.

Chief Gould recently announced his retirement after a long career with the Bristol Police Department. Rep. Hoxha was on hand as many members of the community wished Chief Gould well on his career and thanked him for his service.

BRISTOL – Rep. Joe Hoxha, R-Bristol, recently joined in celebrating the Shady Oaks Assisted Living home as the U.S. Small Business Association’s Family-Owned Business of the Year in Connecticut for 2024.

Rep. Hoxha was on hand with Mayor Jeff Caggiano, Sen. Richard Blumenthal and SBA District Director Catherine Marx for the presentment of an awards citation to Owner & Director Tyson Belanger whose family has worked to create a warm and home-like feeling to Shady Oaks for its dozens of residents.

BRISTOL – Rep. Joe Hoxha, R-Bristol, recently visited several area schools as a guest reader for Read Across America week where he helped promote literacy and the joy of reading among students.

Rep. Hoxha visited Stafford Elementary School in Bristol where he read, “The Girl Who Never Made Mistakes,” by Mark Pett to Mrs. Silver’s first-grade class and he had a chance to meet the famous “Cat in the Hat” as well.

Rep. Hoxha Helps Raise Funds for Salvation Army

BRISTOL – Rep. Joe Hoxha (R-78th) joined Rep. Cara Pavalock-D’Amato to raise funds for in-need residents by recently collecting for the Salvation Army at the Bristol Stop & Shop.

The Bristol delegation stopped by the store and rang the bell for a good cause to help make the fundraising event a success. The Salvation Army responds to natural disasters such as wildfires and tornadoes, provides meals and toys to families in need, and conducts research and analyses regarding human needs around the country.
