Rep. Chaleski Applauds Community Investment Fund Board Recommendation of Grants for Danbury

Hartford, Conn. — The Community Investment Fund board met Tuesday to make recommendations on Round 5 Awards, including two requests from the City of Danbury. State Representative Rachel Chaleski (R-138) wrote letters of support for both projects.

Now that the CIF Board has reviewed the applications and the state Department of Economic and Community Development’s summaries, they are recommending these projects for funding, which was applauded by Chaleski.

House and Senate Republicans are petitioning for a special legislative session to tackle perpetually high electric rates in Connecticut.

The petition, which will be submitted to Connecticut’s Secretary of the State, says Representative Rachel Chaleski (R-138) and other lawmakers deem it “necessary for the General Assembly to meet in special session” for the purpose of passing several policies which aim to provide ratepayers with relief.
