NAUGATUCK – State Representatives David Labriola (R-131) and Rosa C. Rebimbas (R-70) recently toured the Naugatuck YMA to see new improvements made under CEO Susan Talbot.

The facility unveiled a new spin classroom, bleachers for the large basketball gym, and an expanded preschool center.

“The local YMCA is truly the heartbeat of our community,” said Rep. Labriola. “It literally provides vital programs and services for the families of Naugatuck.”

State Representatives David Labriola (R-131) and Rosa C. Rebimbas (R-70), hosted a public forum at Naugatuck high school on Thursday, September 29, to educate and inform the public about the dangers and treatment options for opioid abuse and addiction.

The forum brought addiction specialists, local prosecutors, medical personnel, and police and community leaders together to discuss the various aspects of addiction and recovery, and to answer questions from concerned citizens.
