Rep. Labriola, Republicans Offer No-Tax-Increase Budget Alternative

Representative Dave Labriola (R-131) joined Republican Legislative Leaders and unveiled a no-tax increase balanced budget proposal for Fiscal Years 2012 and 2013.

“Today we showed it’s possible to close a $3.2 billion budget deficit without resorting to any tax hikes whatsoever,” Rep. Labriola said. “The no tax increase plan represents the hard choices to cut spending and reduce government duplicity and waste. The people of our state can’t afford another tax increase and they deserve a government that is both efficient and effective.”

State Representative David Labriola (R-131) today honored organ and tissue donors and recipients during a ceremony marking National Donate For Life Month at the State Capitol.
Rep. Labriola spoke before a crowd of more than 100 people who converged in the North Lobby of the Capitol for the event which featured speakers, displays and heartfelt stories from families of organ donors and recipients. Oxford selectman David Yish, a heart transplant recipient who will celebrate the four-year anniversary of his transplant on Monday April, 4, 2011, was also in attendance.
