Zupkus: No Tax Dollars for New Hartford Baseball Stadium

By now, you have probably heard that a minor league baseball stadium is being built in Hartford.
The stadium will be home to the Hartford Yard Goats.
While I am a baseball fan, Connecticut residents were promised that no state taxpayer dollars would be spent on this project. Unfortunately, a bill has now been proposed which could break that promise.
Today, Monday, April 20, a public hearing will be held on a bill which would divert state tax revenue – your tax dollars – to help pay for the Hartford stadium.
I hope you will join me in opposing this legislation.
