State Rep. Lezlye Zupkus (R-89) joined local officials, administrators, teachers, parents and students in celebrating the grand opening of the new Prospect Elementary School and marched in the welcome parade this morning. The parade stepped off at Canfield Park and continued along Route 69 in Prospect to the new school. Prospect Elementary School is replacing Algonquin and Community schools in Prospect. The new school has 32 classrooms, in addition to art, music, science, resource and enrichment rooms.
