Rep. Zupkus, Sen. Logan Honor Women’s History Month Essay Contest Participants

BETHANY – In honor of Women’s History Month, State Representative Lezlye Zupkus and State Senator George Logan hosted an essay contest for Bethany 6th graders with the theme, “How a Connecticut Woman Made a Contribution to the State and/or Nation and How it Has Influenced Me.”

The winner and runner-up finishers were picked by the teachers at Bethany Elementary School and were presented with an official state citation and pin from the Bethany state lawmakers. The winner and runner-up, and who they profiled, are:

First Place – Bell Sicignano – Donna Lopiano
Runner-Up – C.J. Brinton – Prudence Crandall
