(HARTFORD) — According to statistics provided by the House Clerk’s Office, State Representative Lezlye Zupkus (R-Bethany, Cheshire, Prospect, Waterbury) achieved a perfect, one-hundred-percent, voting record.

During the 2022 Legislative Session, Rep. Zupkus cast votes on all 265 separate pieces of legislation that came up for consideration on the floor of the House of Representatives. Only about 40 percent of legislators achieved a perfect voting record this session.

“It is my responsibility to take voting during the legislative session seriously,” said Rep. Zupkus. “I have been entrusted by the hardworking and supportive residents of the 89th Assembly District and they deserve a transparent voice on every piece of legislation presented to the legislature.”

Throughout the 2022 session, the Deputy Republican Leader also served as a member to various legislative committees including Public Health, Transportation, Legislative Management, as well as the Finance, Revenue, and Bonding Committee, leading the fight on significant social and economic issues relative to her district.

The 2023 Legislative Session will convene in January.
