On June 17th, State Rep. Lezlye Zupkus hosted a gathering of constituents, joined by First Selectwoman Paula Cofrancesco, to discuss the 2021 legislative session. The session concluded on June 9th, but was followed soon after by a special session on June 16th.
The group discussed many issues, including the mileage tax passed on trucks, the legalization of marijuana and the removal of the religious exemption for vaccinations for school children.
Constituents who could not attend but have questions about state government can attend upcoming events in Cheshire and Prospect, or email Rep. Zupkus at Lezlye.Zupkus@housegop.ct.gov.
