HARTFORD – Rep. Lezlye Zupkus, R-Prospect, recently met with met with students from TeenPact at the Capitol this week so they can get an up-close look at the legislative process.
TeenPact’s goal is to inspire youth and their relationship with Christ and train them to understand the political process, with an emphasis on liberty and the Christian faith. Students come from across the state and country to take part in the program.
Rep. Zupkus discussed her path to becoming a state representative, while the students showed their knowledge of the political process with thoughtful questions about dealing with challenging bills and how Rep. Zupkus stays true to her faith during the legislative process.
