Wednesday, June 23rd State Rep. Lezlye Zupkus and Mayor Bob Chatfield of Prospect honored Bob LaBonne, Jr. of Morris, owner of LaBonne’s Markets. He was commended for his incredible efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19 this past year at LaBonne’s Market in Prospect.

The legislative citation, signed by Secretary of State Denise Merrill, Senate President Pro Tempore Martin Looney, and Speaker of the House Matt Ritter reads:
“In honor of your commitment and selfless dedication to Labonne’s Markets. Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, it was your leadership, resolve, and love for community that led to a successful journey through unprecedented times. You exceeded what was deemed necessary in order to ensure the safety of your employees and customers during the pandemic. Your support to your staff is valued beyond words.”
Bob was joined by a large gathering of family, friends and colleagues for this presentation.
