Thank you to the teachers in Cheshire, the kindergarten class of Doolittle Elementary School and the third graders of Norton Elementary School for having me as a guest reader today for #readacrossamericaweek!
I had a great time during my visit to Doolittle where I read “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish,” by Dr. Seuss to a terrific class of kindergarteners.
I joined third graders at Norton where I read the “Owl Moon” by Jane Yolen (the top choice after a vote by the kids) and “Where The Wild Things Are,” by Maurice Sendak. Such a great opportunity to promote literacy and reading in our schools and I hope to be back next year!
