Legislators Speak with Bethany Residents

House Republican Leader Themis Klarides (R-114) and State Representative Lezlye Zupkus (R-89) spoke with Bethany residents during a recent coffee hour event at Billy’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream & Marketplace.
The legislators had the opportunity to speak to the group about the 2015 legislative session, including the state budget and its effects on taxpayers and employers like GE who are considering moving out of state as a result of the increasing tax burden on residents and employers. Residents also expressed deep concern over Governor Malloy’s recent rescissions and how the $63.4 million in cuts to hospitals will affect them and their loved ones.
Any resident that was unable to attend the event and would like to contact Rep. Klarides or Rep. Zupkus may do so at 800-842-1423 or email themis.klarides@housegop.ct.gov or lezlye.zupkus@housegop.ct.gov.
