    The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced that work to upgrade guiderails on Route 68 in Prospect and Cheshire will take place from Monday, April 12, 2021, through Thursday, May 27, 2021.

    The project consists of upgrading existing wood pole guiderail systems to current modern systems on Route 68 at various intersections between Route 69 and Route 70.

    Drivers can expect lane closures on Route 68. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide drivers through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).

    Drivers should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions and are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
