CHESHIRE – Rep. Lezlye Zupkus, R-89th, shared that Cheshire will be receiving state funding awarded through the State Local Bridge Program. This is a $1.2 million critical investment in infrastructure that will help repair and rehabilitate several bridges across Connecticut — including a bridge on Notch Road in Cheshire.
These improvements are not just about roads and bridges — they’re about public safety and preserving the quality of life in our towns, she said. The State Local Bridge Program is a cost-matching grant program that provides 50% of project costs for locally owned bridges.
Rep. Zupkus thanked all the local leaders and engineers who advocated for these projects, adding that she will continue working hard to ensure the towns in the District get the attention and resources they deserve.
