2015 Legislative Session

The 2015 legislative session began last week on January 7th and is now under way. I proudly took the oath of office to serve another two-year term.
THE 2015 SESSION
The Connecticut General Assembly convened the “long session” on January 7th. The “long session” goes from the first week in January through the first week in June.
During the regular session (January to June) the biggest part of the session is the two year state budget which effects every resident in Connecticut. Additionally legislators are able to propose specific bills. I have and will continue to propose bills that I believe will be helpful to the residents of Bethany, Cheshire, and Prospect and the state of CT.
Many of the bills I introduce come from constituents who contact me with an idea through meetings with residents during town halls or from local business owners.
This Friday, January 16th, is the legislative proposed bill deadline to submit a bill proposal. If you have ideas, questions or concerns about a state law or problem that would be eased by legislative action, please contact me.
Government Working for You
I also want to remind you that as your state representative, I am here as a resource.
I’m here to help if you’re having a problem with state agency and need help cutting through the red tape or simply have a question about a law or process.
My hope is for us to work together so that state government can better serve you, your family or business.
