HARTFORD- State Rep. Lezlye Zupkus released the following statement regarding Governor Dan Malloy’s veto of the bipartisan budget that passed the House and Senate on September 16th.
“I am disappointed to see the governor veto a budget that received Democrat and Republican support,” said Rep. Zupkus. “We are going on 14 weeks without a state budget in place, and the governor wants to extend the unstable economic environment. Our municipal leaders, business owners, and residents deserve a stable and predictable environment, and our budget provides both. I will be working to get my colleagues to override the governor’s reckless veto.”
State Rep. Lezlye Zupkus represents the 89th General Assembly District, which covers Bethany Prospect and part of Cheshire.
