CT Open House Day, June 8th

Dear Friends & Neighbors,

June 8th is Connecticut Open House Day, an all-day event across the state for Connecticut’s museums, attractions and historic sites. Now in its 15th year, over 200 attractions will be participating by offering visitors free or discounted admissions.

Make sure to check out the website to see a town by town directory of events. Below are the listings in our area:

East Granby

Windsor        

  • Oliver Ellsworth Homestead Free admission from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., serving complimentary refreshments.
  • Vintage Radio & Communications Museum of Connecticut Half off regular admission from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
  • Windsor Historical Society Free admission from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., national award-winning hands-on Strong-Howard House and the galleries. Help run a working model of the Windsor Locks Canal, have fun in the hands-on Learning Center, and interact with the re-enactors. Sample Mrs. Howard’s famous shortbread and enjoy a cool drink.
