Celebrating Polish Day at the Capitol

HARTFORD – State Representatives Tami Zawistowski (R-61) and Carol Hall (R-59) joined with colleagues and other state officials to celebrate the 28^th Annual Polish Day on May 2^nd at the Capitol. The day marks the 228^th anniversary of the Polish Constitution of 1791 with a celebration of Polish culture and recognition of the contributions made by Polish-Americans in Connecticut.

This year’s event honored five outstanding Polish-American women, including former Suffield First Selectman Elaine Sarsynski, who was recognized for her long and successful career in finance and insurance, and her service to the town of Suffield.
