HARTFORD – State Representatives Tami Zawistowski (R-61) and Carol Hall (R-59) joined with colleagues and other state officials to celebrate the 28th Annual Polish Day on May 2nd at the Capitol. The day marks the 228th anniversary of the Polish Constitution of 1791 with a celebration of Polish culture and recognition of the contributions made by Polish-Americans in Connecticut.

This year’s event honored five outstanding Polish-American women, including former Suffield First Selectman Elaine Sarsynski, who was recognized for her long and successful career in finance and insurance, and her service to the town of Suffield.
