State Representative Dave Yaccarino (R-87), of North Haven, joined the Salvation Army’s annual “Red Kettle Campaign” on December 11 outside of Stop & Shop and on December 18 outside Bagelicious II on Washington Avenue in North Haven.

Over the course of an hour, Rep. Yaccarino joined Charles Adams, the Captain of the Greater New Haven Salvation Army Unit in participating in the time honored tradition of ‘Ringing the Bell’ as he greeted holiday shoppers.

“I am honored to volunteer my time for such a worthy cause,” said Rep. Yaccarino. “The Salvation Army offers help to those in need and gives back to the community, which becomes such a critical cause to support during the holiday season of giving. I am grateful to all those that donated and to our entire community for coming together to lend a helping hand to those who need it.”

Rep. Yaccarino continues to be a loyal supporter of the Salvation Army.  In years past, he has volunteered his time in various capacities in addition to participating in the ‘Red Kettle Campaigns’.  Anyone with questions or concerns pertaining to state government can contact his office at 1(800) 842-1423 or email at Dave.Yaccarino@housegop.ct.gov.
