HARTFORD – State Rep. Dave Yaccarino (R-North Haven) recently attended a Bioscience Partnership Roundtable event at Yale in Orange, which brought together community, legislative, and government administration leaders to build a pathway toward a successful and vibrant bioscience sector in the state.

During the event, leaders from Yale and Rep. Yaccarino shared their vision for the future of bioscience in the state of Connecticut and detailed how the New Haven region has been a hub for start-ups in the bioscience sector. Current opportunities and barriers for growth were discussed along with long-term solutions for building the bioscience ecosystem.

“It is vital that we have conversations such as these to keep bioscience at the forefront,” said Rep. Dave Yaccarino. “We must continue to discuss strategic ways to grow and build the bioscience sector in this state. I firmly believe that the bioscience industry can help bolster Connecticut’s economy by generating sustainable economic growth as well as expand medical education and access in Connecticut; which will ultimately help improve the quality of health care.”
