As we prepare for Independence Day festivities on the fourth of July, let’s not forget the reason why we celebrate this joyous day to begin with. Many of us spend time with friends and family enjoying BBQs, outings to the pool and beach, and most of all – fireworks.
The true reason why we observe the fourth of July is set aside for remembering the signing of the Declaration of Independence, which set the stage for the founding of our nation on the principles of equality, liberty and freedom. On this day, let’s take a moment to remember the price that our freedom cost those who came before us.
