Yesterday, the governor, in cooperation with the Commissioner of Education and the Department of Public Health and medical experts, released the framework and guidelines for reopening CT schools in the fall with in-person learning.

We are expecting to receive a more detailed account early next week. However, given the uncertainty of planning for reopening months from now, schools must be prepared to modify their reopening model to support a partial reopening if the public health data changes.

Additionally, I would like to take a moment to acknowledge all of our educators, parents and students who have been so extraordinary in adapting to the best of their ability to virtual learning during the height of the pandemic. It certainly was not easy.
