The Family Resource Center is one of 58 resource centers around the state and one of the many programs offered by AHM. This morning, I was invited to see one of these programs in person and talk with those involved in working alongside some local parents to foster and encourage healthy development in their children.

The six week ‘Learn and Play Group’ program at Gilead School is open to children from birth to age five, with most in this program between the ages of 1 to 3. The program combines several interactive and hands on stations where children can work on their fine motor skills, explore sensory related play, build social-emotional skills, and other similar activities.
