Rep. Veach Stands Alongside Religious Leaders in Support of Grants to Protect Places of Worship

Today, State Representative Donna Veach joined Mayor Mark Kaczynski, lawmakers, state leaders, Governor Lamont, and members from several different religious groups in Berlin to announce grants that will be available to protect places of worship.

"Everyone deserves the right to practice their religious beliefs without the fear of violence, threats, and harassment. As a practicing Roman Catholic, we share many of the same fears that members of other religious communities do," Rep. Veach said.

"While it’s a shame we must do this, I appreciate the governor acknowledging the importance of this initiative and I will help support it in my community any way that I can."
