State Representative Scott A. Storms proudly represents the 60th General Assembly District comprising a part of Windsor and Windsor Locks.

First elected in November of 2016, Scott has been appointed to the Appropriations Committee, Judiciary Committee, and Transportation Committee.

Born in Wichita Falls, Texas while his father was serving in the United States Air Force, Scott grew up in Windsor Locks and attended the local elementary and middle schools. He later attended and graduated from The Hotchkiss School in 1973. In 1977, Mr. Storms earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Hartford, followed by his Juris Doctor Degree from University of Bridgeport/Quinnipiac University in 1980.  Since then, Scott has been a General Partner in the Law Firm of Storms & Storms – practicing alongside his father and wife, Dale. Scott and his wife recently celebrated their thirty-fifth wedding anniversary.  They have two sons, Drew and Kyle, and three grandchildren.

At the time of his election as State Representative, Mr. Storms was serving as a member of the Windsor Locks Board of Education – a post he held for over 14 years. He was a former member of the State of Connecticut Ethics Commission, State of Connecticut Citizen’s Ethics Advisory Board, Windsor Locks Water Pollution Control Authority, Windsor Locks Economic and Industrial Development Commission, and served as the Windsor Locks Town Attorney for four years.

An Eagle Scout and former Merit Badge Counselor for the Boy Scouts of America, Representative Storms has maintained an active interest in his community. For the past thirteen years, Scott has served as a Special Master for Family Matters in the Connecticut Superior Court.  He is also a member of the Windsor Locks Lions Club, served as an International Director of Lions Clubs International in 2001, and is currently serving as President of the Windsor Locks Dollars for Scholars Committee and is a member of the Masonic Lodge serving Windsor Locks and Suffield.

Scott’s commitment to public and community service will serve him well as he represents the people of the 60th Assembly District bringing their voices to Hartford.
