MONROE – State Representative J.P. Sredzinski participated in Read Across America Day on Friday, March 1, 2019. This annual event coincides with the birthday of Dr. Seuss, perhaps the most prolific author of childhood stories, and  is designed to promote the skills of reading at an early age.

Rep. Sredzinski said, “It was a great morning at Monroe Elementary School to participate in the Celebration of Reading! It was also great to see some local leaders there including Probate Judge TR Rowe and BoE Chair Donna Contento Lane. Now off to Hartford to fight for our schools!”

After Rep. Sredzinski read to the students, he was able to talk to them briefly about his responsibilities as a state representative in Hartford. He explained how important reading is, especially when law makers are adding amendments and making changes to legislation while they are in session.
