Trumbull, CT. – State Representatives Tony Scott (R-112) and Dave Rutigliano joined state and local officials to honor Korean and Vietnam era veterans at a ceremony held in Trumbull recently. About 85 veterans were presented with medals from the state Department of Veterans Affairs and citations from state and federal government representatives.
“I’m appreciated that we were able to right some of the wrongs that we as a country did in not properly welcoming you home. Events like this can hopefully bring some of that closure. We’re appreciative of what you did and your service. Thank you. We can’t say that enough. Thank you for the sacrifices you made in the prime of your lives to protect the rights we have today,” said Rep. Scott.
