TRUMBULL –State Representatives David Rutigliano (R-123) and Ben McGorty (R-123) in conjunction with Trumbull Stop & Shop and ‘Homes For The Brave’ collected a truck load of items to benefit local veterans on November 23rd.

“We asked, and you delivered! Thanks to your incredible support, our ‘Stuff a Truck’ drive was a tremendous success. Your kindness inspires us all,” said Rep. Rutigliano. “I want to give a special shout-out to the Long Hill Administration and Board of Education for their generous donation.”

Rep. McGorty said “A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to our ‘Stuff a Truck’ campaign. Your generosity will bring warmth and nourishment to many families this season.”

During the two-hour drive outside of the Stop and Shop, the Trumbull legislators collected enough to fill the Homes for the Brave cargo van to the brim with non-perishable food items and toiletries that will be donated to local veterans in need. Moises Ortega from Home for the Brave was there to help collect donations.
