Rep. Reddington-Hughes had the privilege of recognizing a young constituent with an official legislative citation for her efforts in being the driving force behind naming the state amphibian after the Spring Peeper frog.
While on vacation, Mae Ambruso was interested in learning more about their local acknowledgements and when seeing their state amphibian recognized Connecticut didn’t have one at the time. Through extensive research, support, and hard work she was able to get that changed as part of Public Act 26-67.
