The Connecticut Department of Agriculture (CT DoAg) announced that it has allocated $1.475 million in state funding to farmers and non-profits involved in production agriculture to invest in long-term climate resiliency projects. According to the department, these actions will decrease vulnerability to extreme weather events through regenerative agricultural practices. Funding came from the Farmland Restoration, Climate Resiliency and Preparedness Grant Program.

HARTFORD – A tour group from the Town of Warren came to visit the Capitol recently. State Rep. Karen Reddington-Hughes (R-66) was on hand to welcome them to the Legislative Office Building at the beginning of their tour.

April is World Autism Month. Join us in spreading awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), what resources are available, and to dismantle negative stigma that can be associated with it. Our caucus will continue to strive to craft policies, similar to P.A. 23-137 that eliminated wait lists for services and expanded autism Medicaid waivers, that promote a more inclusive society.
