State Rep. Rosa Rebimbas (R-Naugatuck) says Senate Bill 1085, An Act Concerning the Legalization of the Retail Sale and Possession of Cannabis and Concerning Erasure of Criminal Records in the Case of Convictions, leaves too many questions unanswered and will make recreational marijuana more accessible to Connecticut children. Rebimbas believes the consequences could extend to the classroom and workplace where cannabis could have an adverse affect on a student’s performance in school and future employment prospects.
